YOUTH FOR CLIMATE CHANGE (Y4C)
Youth for Climate Change (Y4C) is our international student group supporting climate projects. It's a youth program focused on three key initiatives: Students for Solar (providing solar lights in rural USA and Myanmar), Mangrove Restoration (planting trees to reduce greenhouse gases), and Climate & Culture (a student exchange exploring the link between climate and culture).
MANGOSA THURA is a comic series intended to educate about the importance of Mangrove restoration and conservation. Sales of the project will go towards expanding the planting of Mangroves in critically threatened areas.
Our Sustainable Economic Development (SED) programs, such as SRINA Tea House, connect local businesses with global suppliers to create projects in urban areas. These initiatives focus on addressing health inequality, promoting sustainability, and providing long-term job training and placement in low- and middle-income communities.
Since 2007, our on-site programs in Sri Lanka promote sustainable farming, biodiversity, soil fertility, and fair trade, ensuring farm profitability while protecting the environment.
Our flagship Mangrove restoration project began at the Thor Heyerdahl Climate Park in Myanmar where we have planted and restored 100 million Mangrove trees along the vulnerable coast of Myanmar.
